Membership

Fincastle Volunteer Rescue Squad currently consists of 27 members that range in age from 17 - 65 with varying certifications.

Our current membership contains five (5) active Life Members, twenty-four (19) Senior Members and three (3) Junior Members with the following certifications:

5 - Intermediates/Paramedics
15 - Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)
8- Support Staff

We have four different types of Membership:

1. Life Membership
• A Life Member is someone who has served the Rescue Squad as a Senior Member for at least 10 years. A Life Member can be either active or inactive.


2. Senior Membership
• A Senior Member must maintain at least an EMT certification with EVOC and be active with running calls.


3. Associate Membership
• An Associate Member was created for those that wish to be an active member of the squad but do not want to maintain an EMT certification.


4. Junior Membership
• A Junior Member is any member that is between the ages of 16—18. Once turning 18, you may apply to become a Senior or an Associate Member.

Fincastle Volunteer Rescue Squad offers the training for you. We will help you obtain every certification you need to be an excellent EMS provider.
